The Engineering Division is responsible for plan reviews, permitting and inspection of public improvements and grading operations, design and administration of budgeted capital improvement projects, including water, sewer, street and facility improvement projects, traffic signal operations and traffic safety.

- All work in the public right-of-way requires a permit to be obtained by a properly licensed contractor.
- All work shall be done per City of Glendora Standard Designs & Specifications.
- At least 24 hours prior notice is required for all Public Works inspections.

For earthwork greater than 50 cubic yards a Grading Plan is required. The Grading Plan shall be prepared by a Registered Engineer per the California Building Code, latest revision. Links to guidelines and resources for submitting a Grading Plan for review are provided below.
After Grading Plan review and approval, applicant shall submit Grading Certifications and Inspection Letters during the different phases of the project. Links to certification and inspection letter formats are provided below.

- For earthwork less than 50 cubic yards a Drainage Plan is required.
