The City of Glendora invites all interested parties to attend public hearing and express their views.  Should you be unable to attend a public hearing, comments must be made in writing and delivered prior to the scheduled hearing date.  Related documents are on file for public inspection and copying, for the cost of duplication during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays.

PLEASE NOTE:  If you challenge any of the proposed action(s) in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing, or in written correspondence delivered at, or prior to, the public hearing.

Public Notice/SB54 Town Hall Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Glendora will host a Town Hall meeting about Senate Bill (SB) 54 (De Leon), Law Enforcement: Sharing Data, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Bidwell Forum at the Glendora Public Library.  The City invites the community to engage with a non-partisan panel - the goal of the Town Hall meeting is to educate and inform participants on the requirements, challenges and opportunities that SB 54 presents to local agencies. 

 The guest panel will include:

  • William Wynder, Appointed Contract City Attorney, City of Glendora

    • Mr. Wynder, will provide an overview of the SB 54 law and status of lawsuits, court rulings, etc. between the State of California and the Federal Government.

  • Anita Lee, Principal Fiscal & Policy Analyst, State of California’s Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO)

    • Ms. Lee will provide insight into the State of California’s analysis of the SB 54 law.

  • Elier Morejon, Commander, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (Will stand in place of Assistant Sheriff Eddie Rivero)

    • Mr. Morejon will provide information on how the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department works with local agencies to implement SB 54.

Guests of the Town Hall meeting will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification about SB 54.
