International "Observe The Moon" Night

International Observe the Moon Night / Bidwell Forum / October 5, 6:30 p.m.

International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) is a worldwide, public celebration of lunar science and exploration held annually since 2010. Tens of thousands of people participate each year, from 98 countries and 49 U.S. states (and counting!). On Saturday October 5th, at 6:30 PM please visit the library and join your fellow moon-gazers!

We’ll begin in the Bidwell Forum, where local astronomer Tom Mason will enlighten us on the moon, its phases, and other fascinating lunar facts. Then, step outside of the Bidwell Forum onto the library plaza and view the moon up close through Mr. Mason’s high-powered telescopes. It’s an evening of lunar science and fun that you won’t want to miss.

For more information, please call the library at (626) 852-4891.
