CHANGE OF ELECTION DATE

Dear Registered Voter:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Senate Bill 415 (California Elections Code Section 14050), California Elections Code Section 1301, and City of Glendora Ordinance No. 2029 that was approved and made operative by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors at its meeting on April 3, 2018, that the date for the General Municipal Election in the City of Glendora has been changed from the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March of odd-numbered years to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March of even-numbered years to coincide with the statewide elections.

Beginning in March of 2020, elections for members of the City Council shall be held on the March statewide election date, which is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March of even-numbered years. The next General Municipal Election will be held on March 3, 2020.

• Members of the City Council who were elected into office in March of 2015 shall continue in office until the election results are certified and declared by Los Angeles County and the Glendora City Council for the March 3, 2020 election.

• Members of the City Council who were elected into office in March of 2017 shall continue in office until the election results are certified and declared by Los Angeles County and the Glendora City Council for the March 8, 2022 election.
