District Discussion Timeline

Under the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA) – Safe Harbor provision – the City of Glendora must enact a city ordinance establishing boundaries for district elections and a transition plan within 90 days of voting on a resolution of intent to make the switch.  The following tentative timeline has been established to meet this deadline.  To be notified of public meetings and hearings, please sign up for the City Council agenda notification service.

June 2, 2017
City receives letter alleging violation of California Voting Rights Act
July 13, 2017   City Council adopts resolution stating intention and timeline for changing to district elections
July 31, 2017 Special Meeting to be held at Council Chambers, City Hall at 7:00pm
August 2, 2017   Special Meeting to be held at Council Chambers, City Hall at 5:30pm
August 29, 2017   Special Meeting to be held at Council Chambers, City Hall at 5:00pm
September 26, 2017   Council Meeting to be held at the Council Chambers, City Hall at 7:00pm
October 10, 2017   Council Meeting to be held at the Council Chambers, City Hall at 7:00pm

 

Public Hearings will take place in the City Council Chambers at 116 W. Foothill Blvd.
