Post Date:02/06/2019

Mars Rover Program / March 2  3-4:30 p.m. / Bidwell Forum

Titan Rover is a student-based team of mechanical, electrical, computer science, biology, chemistry, and geology students based at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) who works to design, manufacture and compete a Mars rover platform at the University Rover Challenge each year. Here teams are challenged to solve possible issues that may be faced by future astronauts on Mars.

"Our team will teach the concepts behind designing a mechatronic platform and the intricacies of Martian exploration and the role that robotic vehicles will tackle in helping to limit the risk which astronauts face on the red planet. We will also talk about the brief history of both the applications of math and sciences and space exploration.

Our mission is to develop skills that are applicable in the professional work force and to nurture our members combined passions for space, science, engineering and discovery. Every member is personally motivated to to create a competitive rover utilizing every resource we have. We are made up of three main teams: Mechanical, Electronics, and Controls. Our Mechanical team designs, manufactures, and maintains our various types of mechanical systems.

Our Electronics team oversees our power systems, signal systems, as well as telemetry and Systems Integration. Our Controls team programs our user interface, mobility systems, and sensor systems."
