Community Development Update - June 2, 2017
June 6 Planning Commission Meeting Preview – The Planning Commission will hold their next Meeting on Tuesday, June 6 at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chamber. The agenda and staff reports are posted on the City’s website:http://www.ci.glendora.ca.us/residents/online-videos
The meeting includes four items:
- 658 Oak Hill Drive – New two-story single-family home on a vacant hillside lot in the Gordon Highlands subdivision.
- 457 W. Foothill Boulevard – Maria’s Mexican Restaurant – Conditional Use Permit related to expansion of a restaurant serving beer and wine.
- 155 N. Wabash Avenue – Final Tract Map for an 8-unit townhome development.
- Arrow Highway Specific Plan – Update on a project to create new development and design standards for the Arrow Highway corridor.
Sprouts and Marshalls – The remodeled shopping center at the southwest corner of Grand Avenue and Route 66 has several new stores. Sprouts Farmers Market and Marshalls are now open with other stores to come in the near future.
New Restaurants – Glendora is experiencing a surge in new and expanding eating places. These include several familiar and new restaurants to the area. Long-time Glendora restaurant Maria’s Mexican Restaurant is expanding at Foothill and Grand shopping center. At that same center, Starbucks recently opened a new location with a drive-through. At the Marketplace and Diamond Ridge Shopping Centers off Lone Hill there are three new restaurants: Chick-fil-A, Pick Up Stix, and Mooyah.

Current Development – Details on new construction and a complete list of Current Zoning Applications are available on the City’s website via the link below. Some of the highlighted projects are under construction, while others are under review and have not been approved.
