Come explore the history of Gumby! 

Program tickets are free and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14th. Each person attending (including children) must be present to receive their tickets. Seating may not accommodate large groups. 

Bidwell Forum Presentation Schedule:
10 a.m.
– Presentation by LAIKA Studios, producers of ParaNorman and BoxTrolls (opening in September).

10:45 a.m. – Presentation by Stoopid Buddies Stoodio, producers of Robot Chicken on Adult Swim.

11:30  p.m. – State of the Art panel: Animators from Premavision, Laika Studios, Stoopid Buddies Stoodios and the Art Institute of San Francisco.

1 p.m. – “Gumby Through the Years” presented by Joe Clokey, son of Gumby creator Art Clokey.

2 p.m. – “Meet the Gumby Gang” featuring Clokey Productions’ crew. On the panel: Harry Walton, Doug Beswick and Norm DeCarlo, stop motion and visual effects pioneers who got their start in Glendora and went on to work on over 35 feature films and TV series, such as Star Wars and Nightmare Before Christmas; Rich Zim, master clay animator who cut his teeth on the Gumby ‘80s series before branching out; Joe Clokey and others. Rick Baker: He won the first ever Academy Award-winner for Best Make-up/Hair Styling for An American Werewolf in London; other credits include Disney’s upcoming Maleficent, Men in Black,, Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope,and many others.
